Our Mission

The mission of Thrive Behavioral Health, LLC is to provide quality mental health services to individuals and families, with a focus on reducing traditional barriers to accessing treatment and on ensuring a high level of collaboration with our community partners.

History of Thrive

Thrive Behavioral Health is a woman owned company that was started in 2012 with the purpose to ensure that Marylanders had access to effective and compassionate behavioral health care.  TBH believes one of the best ways to accomplish this is to be a supportive workplace for its team and through continuous improvement efforts.  TBH is proud of the work the team has accomplished.  Our team is made up of individuals that represent a wide range of professional expertise, races, ethnicities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, spiritual and religious backgrounds, disabilities, and ages.

Individual, group, and family therapy in homes, schools, the community, and on-site clinics

Thrive Behavioral Health provides evaluation, treatment planning, and individual, family, and group interventions for the treatment of a wide range of mental health issues. We have a diverse group of clinicians who are trained in various treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus, play therapy, trauma-informed care, and the mind/body connection. We encourage clients to share their preferences for treatment and do our best to match clinicians accordingly.

Medication management

Our team of medical providers is made up of psychiatrists, psychiatric certified registered nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. While not all clients choose to see one of our medical providers, those who do are offered a range of services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaboration with the client’s primary therapist. Our medical team is well-versed in the connection between the mind and body and work to support clients in identifying holistic and non-medication treatment options for their symptoms.

Transportation assistance to psychiatric appointments

We are pleased to offer some transportation assistance for our community-based clients. Transportation is offered on an as-available basis and is limited to appointments with one of our medical team members (psychiatric evaluations or medication management appointments). Due to logistical limitations, we cannot guarantee transportation for all appointments. Transportation is limited to certain days/times depending on the office. There is a 10-mile radius limit from each office.

Culturally Responsive Services

Research shows that discrimination and micro-aggressions can directly impact one’s mental health. Thrive appreciates the unique experiences of our LGBTQIAP+, elderly, individuals of color, differently abled, trans (including but not limited to nonbinary/gender queer folks), and indigenous clients as well as their families. Our team works to create a safe space for all to experience feeling heard and respected.
